What we store

Your profile (name, email, role, industries, skills, interests), your capability scores, the objectives and teams you create, the milestones you log, and the full Markdown of every legal document you generate. All of it lives in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database.

We store no passwords. Sign-in is through Google or GitHub only, and what we receive is the identity those services return, not your credentials.

Who can see it

The database is partitioned by row-level security: by default you read only the rows that are yours. There are two exceptions, both of them product features, and we state them plainly:

  • Other signed-in users can see your profile unless you set it to private. That is what the people-discovery and co-founder matching features run on.
  • Your capability scores follow the same rule: set your profile to private and no one else can read them, and gap matching and Discover stop listing you. That was not true before 25 October 2026: scores were readable by any signed-in user regardless of the profile setting. It was stated on this page at the time, and it has since been fixed.

GitHub access tokens are stored encrypted and are unreadable at the database level by any user identity; only server-side code can decrypt and use them.

How AI is used

Sercle calls Anthropic’s Claude API to draft legal documents, make recommendations, and extract capability evidence from your answers. What is sent is what the task needs: for a document, the fields you filled in and the state you recorded.

Anthropic does not use API data to train models by default, and we do not use your content to train any model.

When you draft a document through the Claude connector, the drafting runs on Sercle’s own API budget rather than yours. That is why there is a limit of 15 drafts per account per day.

The Claude connector

When you connect Sercle to Claude, you sign in by OAuth and Claude receives an access token that acts as you. It reaches exactly what you reach when you sign in yourself — the same row-level security applies to it — and no tool takes an account id, so none of them can be aimed at someone else’s data.

You can disconnect at any time from Claude’s settings, which invalidates the token.

Deletion

Legal documents and milestones can be deleted in the app, which removes them from the database. To delete an account and everything in it, email the address below and we will do it.

Not legal advice

Sercle drafts documents and tracks filing deadlines. It is not a law firm and none of this is legal advice. Every generated document is a draft to review with a licensed attorney, and it says so on its own first page.
